I’m from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil but I also lived in Ireland before I moved to Nashville. We are so proud to have Thayna Freitas as part of that program! Thayna joins us from Brazil and we recently got to know her better. This program is for anyone outside of the US who wishes to take part in a work-related exchange program in America. One of our most culturally enriching programs, is our participation in the J-1 program. The possibilities are endless when it comes to concepts, locations, new people joining the team, and how we move forward with current properties. +What is your favorite aspect of Makeready? Makeready is a small but growing company in the hospitality world. I love playing video games with my wife and my friends online when I can. +What are your hobbies? I’m a pretty big geek. Whenever I say I’m from NY, you have to imagine hills, forest, and cows…lots of cows. A beautiful small-town right-on Skaneateles Lake. I was raised in a small town in central New York called Skaneateles. A great place for to splurge and go all out for a night. They do a take on traditional American cuisine, and it’s done exceptionally well. I haven’t been to many restaurants in Nashville yet, but I had a wonderful experience at the Continental when I dined there. + If you were going on a date night, which restaurant would you go to and why? + What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? Chef Chris joined us from a fellow Makeready hotel, The Adolphus, last November and now we are lucky to call him our Sous Chef.
